So I emailed them yesterday about sodering on xt60s for the battery and they said they would not, as the liability is too great... Looks like I'm just gonna get the male xt60 to female t connecter

I did two 20min flight today.. just trimming it out..

I have My CG set touching the aft part of the spar. mine flys like its on rails...and will fly inverted with almost zero down elevator.....it is neither nose heavy..OR tail heavy....give it a try ( it wont crash) and if you dont like it..go back to where yours is now.


Also, if you are flying straight ahead at slow speed...then push the throttle to max....does it ballon up?? if it does..you need to adjust the two top thrust screws IN ( the same nuber of turns each) and the bottom 1's out a tad ( the same number of turns each)
That will adjust more down thrust into your model...and when you get it just right...you can go from gliding to FULL throttle and the nose will stay put....remember I can do this with a .10 motor on mine..again ..straight as if on rails..

I do not think Anyone has had a "Motor Mount" Issue...unless they crashed bad...if installed correctly...the motor mount is Very strong...and people have all sorts of motors in them...some even mounted infront of the mount...the FC has no Motor mount issue.

Hello FC owners,

new FC owner here. My lady bought me this kit and I am so pumped to get this started. I just received the turnigy 3536/8 motor with x mount so I will be making making a motor mount for the x mount. I have a BP 2217-9 motor laying around good enough for 35oz planes and i am wondering if it would be enough for the FC. reason I ask is because its lighter and I want to fly the FC as slow as possible.

Also does anyone know if I can just reverse the shafts on either motors to maybe possibly use the stock motor mount?

The FC will most likely go under the paint booth this weekend along with my other builds. I have plans to modify the landing gear. I will be using foam tac glue to put her together as well.

Not sure foam tac will work. Most folks, and the manual, say to use straight up medium CA with kicker. As this Elapor foam ain't no ordinary foam, lol.

Im in I will be purchasing a funcub from my local hobby store on wednesday. Thanks for all your advice.

Canopy Glue works too - CA tends to be a bit stiff/brittle for me

You should be able on the Turngey one.
I have broken my shafts a few times on crashing. And I use shafts that don't have the "snap ring".
But no problem. the prop "pulls" the motor together.

Just a slight set back..

I had been flying with 10x7 props as it was all I had..

picked up a 11x7 and 12x6 from the LHS ..(1hr away)

Well I guess i did not install the motor mount right.. or 12x6 was to much as I ripped the motor right out of the nose,

Plastic parts snapped right behind where the screw ends ( about 1/2) part of the plastic..

10x7 was ok but fly's like a trainer.. wanted a bit more punch,
So I guess I got it..

Power Setup is

60amp esc - was all I had -
28x14 Sunny Sky - 900KV -
on 4S

So Some repairs are in order .. :-(

Sounds more like that prop wasn't balanced.

on that L4, how did you make that landing gear? I have seen fun cubs that have their wheels all spread out from the landing gear bending outwards, and was looking to do something like that.
