ET Multi-Rotor FC?

Any new word on the rumored multi rotor FC? I am going to start a new build of a Y6 and would like to know if I should hold off on buying a new FC for it. Sure would be nice to have a fully integrated ET system.

Cheers

MJ

We are working hard on that. We'll have something very soon for quads, and later for hex. Sounds like that's not perfect news for you. :S

That's good to hear Bill! Don't forget about us single rotor helicopter flyers! If you got multirotors working, then single rotor traditional helis can be just a different mixing table mostly.

The only thing different is the throttle and collective pitch controls. The simplest thing to do when 3D position hold or RTH is enabled is to lock the throttle at the user's current throttle value at that time. Then control lift via the collective pitch only. If the pitch, aileron, elevator are routed through the FBL, then you don't have to do any CCPM or any swash calculations at all. They can be mixed almost like an simple airplane even simpler than any multirotor mixing tables! Of course this limits support to only flybarless helicopters but good FBL controllers are as cheap as $50 nowadays.

I know multirotors are all the rage now but I stuck with FPV helis from the beginning and still at it. I could help beta test for you if needed because finding good FPV helicopter pilots is probably harder nowadays with multirotors all over the place.

Excellent news. Can you give a ballpark estimate on release? This year in 2013 at least?

Are we talking of support to have RTH on the OSD pro or a complete Flight controller?
I won't mind beta testing the first, have plenty of Multicopters to use.

Sorry for delay! Definitely during 2013 - it can't be soon enough IMO!

More details to follow.

We were having some fun "working" on it yesterday:

Flips with Quadcopter + ET Guardian multi-controller (1 min 7 sec)

Thanks so much for the beta testing offer. Be careful what you ask for.

That's amazing.

I can't wait to get my hands on one...

I knew that you guys would put out a product which would

be reliable and dependable, and have excellent stability.

You have proven it already with the guardian's.
