Mick,
What a great conversion, your skill with timber is unsurpassed, perhaps you could post some pics of the boat in it's original condition when it came to you to let us see what can be done with a not so well built model.

Hi George,
Pictures as equested, as you can see not much is to the correct
scale and has a mixture of old and modern fittings, the only thing
I have used is the hull with a modified transom, flat to counter stern, the deck line has been altered re planked, raised freeboard, new gunwhale, lower rubbing strake and extended stem.

Thanks for your interest and comments, my only concern is the heat generated by the boiler thats why I have lined the inside with aluminium, I have also fitted a louvered grill in the front of the wheelhouse and will fit a grating in the rear hatch, I could also fit a extractor fan if necessary, what do you think, as all of my steam boats have been open I have not had any experience of enclosed boilers.

Remains of Resolute

I have the remains of a drifter called Resolute in the mud on my mooring. Which 'Resolute' is your model of? and do you have any information about her?

Hi, Resolute was built by Fellows of Yarmouth in 1909 one of the last wooden steam drifters.
she was requisioned by the Admiralty in 1916 as a minesweeper, fitted with a 6 pounder gun on the foredeck, added to the crew of 8 a Naval Officer and 1 rating.

Resolute sunk a U Boat before being sunk by gunfire by other U Boats of the NE of Scotland with the loss of all hands in 1917
