Nope, no problem at all. I run Thunder Power 45C 5S 3850mAH packs. If you get one of these, I highly recommend the Hacker A50-14XS on 5S.

Cool thanks! Will it run well on a Extreme Flight Torque Motor 4016T/500 or the recommended Hacker A40-10S Motor? my local Hobby shop sells the Hacker A50-14S V3 Brushless Motor or the Hacker A50-16S V3 Brushless Motor, would either of these be ok?

my favorite solution for all my electric planes is to make a simple battery tray... can be as simple as a free paint stirrer from the hardware store and a piece of wood to hold it down at the firewall. allows easier pack insert and removal even if your packs are in the middle of the plane, but just as easy if they're up at the firewall.

naturally, where your packs need to be is up to preference and equipment choices.

A50-S is the next size up. the "XS" that Steve mentioned is their new super short motors that are same weight as the A40 sizes but more torque and cooling, etc.

+1

I run this motor on 4s 4000s with a 16x10 Xoar prop in this plane and run 5s 3650s with 15x8 Xoar prop on my 59" A.J. Slick.
