Jet Hangar Mirage...i need help!

Hi!

I have this RC jet body that i bought from a garage sale for $20. I have no idea what type of model it is, but i wanted to put an electric ducted fan in it. I noticed that the exhaust hole at the back is about 5" from the outisde diameter so about 4.5" diameter on the inside. Do you know of any fan that is that big and puts out alot of thrust and power? It needs to be electric. Also, what type of motor? THe plane weighs about 10lbs (just the body) It's a little over 5 ft in length, and 4 ft wide. it has landing gears that retract and 2 air intakes on either side of the fuselage (i'm guessing i'm going to need a y harness for a ducted fan---right?)

PLease help me out! Sorry for the upside body picture, i took it the wrong way

Are you in Arizona? It does look like a JHH Mirage. Is the wing removable?

That plane is from the old CLoud Dancers Demo team and I believe it is a JHH Mirage. I remember seeing them perform with 3 of those Mirages flying in formation. Originally there were 6 planes that were to fly in formation but through attrition (crashes) I only got to see three fly. You may have the last remaining example originally built in the 80's. The folks at Jet Hanger would probably be best to contact, their E-Turbax would be the way to go.

For the 10lbs is heavy. But there is a reason why. The airplane will fly more better with the weight. Remember it's a delta type aircraft. And to me it looks like a Mirage.

Dose the conard fins rotate?

Delta

"What does it mean if it's a delta type aircraft?"

Look at the shape of the wing.
It is a triangle shape (as seen from the top).
That is known as a Delta wing.
