Jetarrows Vampire 90mm

I saw this at an electric meet a couple of months ago and loved the way it looked and flew.
Now I've got mine I thought I'd tempt everyone else.

Sorry I missed all your replies, I'm sure I subscribed to my own thread but haven't got any emails....odd

I planned on using a DS-51, 6S 4000 Maxamp cells with a Hacker B50 9XL. On test this works out at 60A and about 1200W. I think that was about 2.1KG static thrust. This was until last night when those packs were too light and its sitting tail heavy. To overcome this I may either uses 6S 2P which will increase the weight of packs from 580g to 1160g.....which is still a possibility, or else a large RX pack with some lead.....eeech.

Hi Jo.....yes this is the one I got from Peter. It took about 3 weeks from order.

Hi Geof...I saw it at Baisingstoke and I think your right, he was using 8S 3700 flightpowers, DS-51 fan and Mega 22/30/3. It seems to take off very well on that and easily handles the weight. This is why I may go with 6S 2P, I reckon the Flightpowers must weigh around 1040g.

On installing the snake in one of the booms which controls the elevator I found it to have alot of slop. this was easily overcome by spraying expanding foam down the boom....a great lightweight support bracket!

Below are a couple more of mine and the swiss coloured one is Brian's who showed me what I was missng out on.

I've been reading other posts and may substitute my Hacker for a Neu motor as used by Tamjets....if I'm going to carry 6S2P I may aswell do it as a 12S 1P. I would rather a spritely 5 mins than 10 mins of average performance.

QUOTE:
1/12 scale EDF F-16
Weight: 8.25 lbs
EVO25 12s 2500mAh Lipo
Plug-n-play DS-51 with 1515 2Y motor
2.4kw at 57 amps
