Hey I have posted a new thread specifically on this board so that we can discuss it over there and as a few of us get this in we can hopefully get some real facts and information out there. My wife will kill me but I went ahead and ordered one as I'm extremely intrigued. Also I have sent an email to 9imod.com in hopes they can maybe answer some questions.

I don't get it. Why not use the mQX board?

Isn't it a better choice? AFAIK even at a lower price. Of courses the centerplate sold for cent is needed as well.

This board is the same size as the ladybird board and has the direct plug ins for the motor, so it's a much more plug and play system, plus the lipo connection is the walkera connection so it allows you to keep using the 240mah lipo's and such. I think it's really all about weight and size. I never tried lighter lipo's but for me my hybrid with the rakon kit which took away some weight and the 500 size lipo's made for the mqx made it fly perfectly fine, but when moving into aerobatics it wasn't near the beauty of the ladybird. It did it all fine but the tight flips and rolls of the ladybird is such perfection to me, that I feel the hybrid didn't compare in that area. So the hope is the weight reduction in board along with being able to use the smaller lipo's will keep the aerobatic performance the same without really doing anything other than plug and play. No cutting and splicing of wires every time a boom/motor needs replaced.

Well battery connectors differ and you need the $1 mQX Centerplate. Anyway if you start, you won't have the need to use LB batteries. Weight might be a point to take into consideration...

On the other hand, buying a Devo 8S and flashing the Deviation Firmware via USB will give you a decent versatile radio with both Walkera protocols, DSM compatibility and optional with some (easy) hw hacking 9x protocol as well. No more worries about different Rx then. Just fly what you can get

Anyone ever hear of the Heli-Max 1SQ? It can use the Anylink system that claims to make it compatible with any transmitter. I don't know if that would make it compatible with the Flysky TH9X (Turnigy 9x.) It's for sale at Tower Hobbies.

I used GoNitroHobbies to order the board = 35 usd + 7 usd + 25 usd for import fees and tax they badly packaged the shipment (broke the board) shipped it via the every so speedy USPS (had to wait longer then every shipment from China) = bad expirience
importing from China (for me) is cheaper and faster.

and I already have a Spektrum TX so I do not need an other TX

It's not as miraculous as it sounds, its just an extra tx module that plugs into any tx trainer port.

Dont we loooove marketing??? Why is this thing called "ANY" link again?? Because it works with about any of something like HALF maybe or so of all the existing transmitters ... but hey ... at least you can TRY to link ANY, right

I think the concept is good, but at the same time I just don't like the thought of hanging the stupid box on my tx. I have a friend who bought the sabre micro with anylink the first week it came out to use on his dx8 and it's still just sitting in the box. He hasn't flown it once. Not that it's necessarily complicated or anything. It just adds unecessary bulk. Once again great concept, but I don't think it's taking off as much as they thought it would.
As for the 1SQ, I will admit it is one of the nicer looking quads, and the fact that it's just a hair bigger than a ladybird I'm sure has it's advantages visually, however the other problem I see is it uses a lipo that seems pretty one off in its dimensions, while most of the clones are using the same type of lipo's that the ladybird and others use, so lipo's are interchangable between them, while it doesn't look like there's really any other lipo available that will fit this other than the stock lipo's (and 9 eagles since it seems this is just a rebranded 9 eagles)

The HiSKY FF120 also coes with a radio adapter that you can attach to your JR or Futaba transmitter.
