Do you guys think the 3ch 35mm banana hobby mig 15 is easier to fly then the 4ch 30mm GP f86 sabre? I'm still having issues with my sabre. I'm hoping ill have better luck with the mig15 from banana hobby.

what kind of issues are you having with the Sabre ? i have the 35mm F-86 from BH...it flies pretty good. only difference i see, is the 3 channel dosen't have a rudder. i actually never use the rudder on these smaller jets

I love my Saber when the motor works properly... My latest issue is the bearings are crap, and allow play at higher RPMs. Then cool stuff happens, like HEAT, and it melts the housing, allowing it to touch the fan, and shell it out. I need to order another motor now......*sigh* At least my MiG-29 works! Too bad I tried to put it through a chain-link fence. Being fixed as I type!!! -------Metalguy

Out of the batteries in hobbykings range, which ones would people with experience recommend to a stock F15, (i.e. 2S)?

I have the Hawk and use 450 2s 40c to get 3-4 minutes of flying time. Not as fast as 3s but stock ESC and fan with decent speed for a small jet. The difficult part is the launch. Either plenty of wind or a very strong throw to get it going.

I realize your asking for the F15 but the Hawk has a very small nose as well. Hope this helps. Good luck.

I dont know if my flying space is too small or it's lack of experience. but I can't keep the plane in flight long enough to trim out my control surfaces before it flips or nose dives into the ground. And I'm still having elevator issues so when I try to get the nose up it doesn't move fast enough before it hits the ground. I'm hoping I'll have better luck with these. My flying field is three football fields side by side.

Mike, it does usually take a little more space for trimming. Maybe you can go to a larger field just for trimming, or get someone to help. Just tell them what to trim while you are flying

You can get the motor and EDF as seperates from www.hobbyb.com. The fans come with motor screws as well. They are available in 3 blade or 5 blade fans.

hey guys, need a little help. So Ive been out of town and my f86 showed up. I have battiers, still waiting for my molex connectors for my Rx, but can someone pinpoint me to a charger to use. For some dumb reason, i was expecting these to use deans for the plane/batteries. I have no clue what to use to charge them now, some input would be appreciated, thanks!

You could use something as simple as this:

Ideally, an adjustable rate charger is best. Most lipos charge at a rate of 1C, meaning a 500 mAh lipo would charge at the rate of .5 amp, a 1000 mAh pack at the rate of 1A, etc.

That way, 4 lipos can be charged at the same time and all at different rates. I have two of the polycharge 4 chargers and 8 equinox balancers with a large A/C to D/C power supply. It's an overkill setup, but I have those kinds of needs.

Oh, the Accucel 6 in the picture next to my Turnigy 4x6s is also a good charger. I no longer have it because I left it on my rear bumber when I took off for the field so... it's gone I almost bought another one but I wanted to try out the slick Gens ace charger and I like it a lot.

My apologies for not specifying, I do have a charger, from racing offroad buggies. I just run everything deans, then to bullet connects because of the hardcase pack I run have bullet connectors. I do not know the name of the connector that comes standard off the esc that the battery plugs into(same as the connector on these batteries). I guess I was wondering if any of you knew of a harness that goes from ultra deans to...(whatever the name of these connectors are) Sorry for the confusion, and once again, thank you for your help. I would just get that eflite charge for the ease of things, but it says output is .65a but I have to double check. I think the packs that came with the f86(whatever banana recommended) was only 450mAh

I came across this, the charger I use, uses bullet connectors. My balance board plugs in via bullet/banana connectors but has deans on the board itself. I could just use these correct? And just not use the balance board. I mean i lose the luxury of charging more than one battery at a time but this should work? only thing i am unsure if if the wire used in this would be rated high enough to handle the charging current .45A?
