Capt soap, 16/45s should handle 2000w all day long without breaking a sweat. I'm running a 16/401 (smaller than the 16/45/xx series) in another airframe at around 2400w without any issues. Several factors to consider....I smoked mine at around 3800w - that's asking a lot from a 28mm motor. Having said that, It's apparently been run (16/45/1) successfully at 4000W, as Gary mentioned......

OK...I wanted to the HABU 32 flight video done first.

For you guys that may want to step up to 80mm composite Habu 32 later, here's one (heavyweight, but fast option). 6s and 8s options are available as well.

Tonite (as in...right now) I'll do the Habu2 video. It's the only time I can sit in front of the PC for about 2 hours straight.

OK, the Habu 2 video is uploading.

I combined the remaiden and RADAR run flights into one video, so It's 10+ minutes long, and will take about 80 more minutes to upload.
It will be here, when it's done.

EDIT: Here ya go.

Habu 2 RADAR runs...best pass: 142mph (10 min 52 sec)

Next video, coming....SAPAC Viper.

I finally flew my Habu 2 with the TamJets Delta-V 32 Heatsink. This was designed for the Habu 32 but fits the stock Delta-V 15 for the Habu 2 fine with slight modification. Before, in order to balance the heavier 5S pack and retracts, the CC Ice 100 location was swapped with the reciever, the battery moved back, and about 60 grams of shot was added to the tail cone.

Now, a CC Ice Lite 100 is in the carbon cone of the TamJet Heatsink allowing all tail weight to be removed. The receiver is now back behind the battery. This really cleaned up the installation and saved about 90 grams in total. An added plus is more streamlined motor installation with more thrust.

The result was a marked shortening of the take-off run -- about 2/3 of the previous heavier configuration. Vertical is almost unlimited now and the plane feels much more nimble.

Thanks Tam for this product.

Don

Isn't an F-20 just an F-5 with upgraded avionics and a better turbine?

Kinda, but it had one kick ass engine (w/ 1:1 thrust I believe), versus the twin-weewee setup on the F-5, and some other great improvements. Check the wiki - it's a cool read (and kind of a bummer, since it was such a great machine and super affordable as well).

Check out this sales pitch video - it'll knock your socks off. Gary, you should post this with your F-20 for sale page - would probably sell a few all by itself!

I think it's so funny that there are ads for Military jet fighters- complete with celebrity endorsements! It's not as if they would show these ads on TV :P

Great vid josh, I enjoyed watching that...but the honestly the F-20 never had a chance....

1.) the F-20 has no combat range with full stores! It would bingo out in a hurry...
2.) In the BFM environment, the turn radius is HUGE and it wouldnt last versus a Viper or Hornet.

...but that vid is convincing for sure especially when good ole' Yeager is the spokesman. At least other countries have taken advantage and bought many...

From personal experience I will say the F-20 / F-5 is a hard target to see in the non-BVR environment (marines still fly the F-5 as aggressors) and that is most definetly its best chararacteristic. I never new it could "Buddy refuel" for other F-20s! We dont have any fighters in our inventory today that can buddy refuel...and the FMC rate would be a huge plus today compared to everything in the inventory.
