The Amigos Focke-Schmitt Group Build

A year ago Ian invited me to come build with the Amigos. After the Fake Fest I had time to come regularly. They have taught me a lot of the skills that I use today. I have joined the group and love building and flyin with them.
Dutchy graciously loaned Ian the Focker mold. I have been laying up fuses with Robert. I laid the first one at build night and over the last two weeks I have laid up 9 fuses. That was a marathon of work for me. Robert has cut 9 sets of cores.
Tonight we are meeting at Ian's for build night to begin the build.
We will try to build tails tonight. ( after the tail design )is argued out
The wings and tails will be glassed and bagged.
As usual we will Build them together and Fly them together.

I hope you follow us as we build Dutchy's new artwork.
If I know my Amigos it will be a fun filled ride.

The Amigos are...
Ian (Bluffman)
Morri (Bluffinator)
Robert ( RMD72377)
Russ. (Slopeiron)
Tom (TRISME)
Brandon (BDK74)
Bud
Ron (RPCAP2454)
Rubio (67econoline )

Let the Adventure begin

Here are some pics of the lay up process. It was a lot if work for me. The final result will be fun. I got to help create the great pcs of art.
They are the first I did all alone.

I like the planform of this tail. Maybe widen the cord a bit? The tips are a little more interesting.

That looks good Tom.
I like the tips. Roberts idea was youse the wing tip shape. That looks really close. I thought we should add a little sweep to the front and rear.

I'd go with 109 wings.

My Idea is to mix the two tails. I like the 109 tips I used on my Thompson 109. Use a slight sweep in the front and rear just don't lose the rectangular look.

What do you think Dutchy??
