Dang your tempting me to get RealFlight Curtis. Looks like a good training tool. I found it interesting to watch your TX as you flew.

A question if you don't mind. Must one use the TX they provide with the Realflight software or can I use my own?

Thanks, Rod

What I've found is that you have to HAVE the RF Interlink controller, but you can set up your own TX to fly it. They do this by requiring you to press the "reset" button on the interlink before each flight with your TX. This helps prevent software piracy.

Aside from that, I haven't figured out how to get my Multiplex Evo to talk to RF, but I also haven't found very much info on how to do that, either.

I'm not going to rack my brain trying to figure it out. The way I see it is like this. I already fly with multiple types of radios, what's one more? It's not like I'm going to Denmark for the WC this summer.

Hey Speed drop by and you can check it out and even try your transmitter if we have the cable. I prefer to wear out the RealFlight transmitter and not the one I use when the crashes are more expensive.

Red Merle aka Supra

I flew a 5 minute task today with little problem. It's not a given though! I use my iPhone as the timer. I have a simple .mp3 audio file that you can download here: http://tailwindgliders.com/Files.html
Scroll down to ALES Timing Files.

Have fun!

WOW! I just loaded up the Thermal Park Red Merle on my RealFlight G 6.5 sim. I also tried out the glider (Red Merle) Very nice indeed. I haven't flown gliders for along time and for a simulator it took me right back to flying gliders. Very realistic. I feel it's about as nice as it can get for a simulated glider flying experience. Please keep up the good work!

Hey, check this screenshot out:

There IS a countdown timer in RealFlight!

I'm just about to hand launch my Red Merle ALES plane on a five minute task.

Thanks to someone at HeliFreak they showed me how to get a countdown timer.

Here's how you do it:
1) Press the key to the left of the Number 1 ("~" Do not hold shift down), this will open the console.
2) Type "setTimerMode down". This tells the timer you want it to count down instead of up.
3) Type "setTimerCountDownFrom 5:00". This tells the timer to count down from 5 minutes and 0 seconds when in countdown mode. You can change these values to whatever you like.

Awesome!

Hi all. Curtis I did the down load.It works great thanks.
Now if I can get one of three DVD players to work,I'll be watching the DVDs.
Does the thermal in the park get smaller as it goes up?Or are the arrows just mixing me up?

Sheesh, I don't know if they do or not. That wouldn't make sense. I haven't been using the arrows much lately. It's really good without them!
