It's a 1615cc Powertech bespoke unit, 280bhp @10,500rpm.
280bhp doesn't sound like a lot, but the car only weighs 500kg, so it's power to weight ration is 560bhp/ton. I've raced it against full blown Viper GTS-R GT Race Cars, McLarens & Ferrari GT Racers, and although they're neck to neck on the straights, they cant live with the light weight & down force through the bends. It obliterates everything! - Apart from the Radical SR8's. They're Hyper-Racers. I could retro-fit a Powertech V8 to my car, but I get enough fun out of it as it is. And my wallet wont let me.

Sweet, that is light!

I'm with you, most car guys are all about the HP number and don't even think about the power-weight ratio. it really helps in the corners as well.

Here are my 2 current hot rides, the Radical Motorsport car in the second pic is one of only a few street legal (in Europe) examples in the world. Probably something to do with the urge to swerve & avoid bees going in your mouth.
Very nice LP560! And I bet the radical is an absolute blast to have on the track.
