Question
world engines expert 7ch

I have a really old world engines expert 7 channel radio and it is mixing rudder & elevator. I can't find any way to turn it off. Anyone know about these systems?
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks!

It is mixing rudder with elevator and rudder with aileron. Is it supposed to do that? Can't find a way to stop it either.

Sounds like you have a fault. I don't think a radio this old would have programmable mixers.

I agree, with that. I don't remember the radio having any ability to mix, or reverse or anything similar to programming.

Just don't throw it away. Lots of us on Ebay would love to snap it up.

Post a link to it on ebay for us in your threads, OK?

I was thinking of getting one to just put on the shelf and look at it from time to time.

Some pattern flyer might have added some extra boards on the inside for mixing. Usually they had a switch to turn it off or on. They used to put in add on boards for things like rolls, spins, and such. You had to turn some tiny potentiometers to adjust it. It was sort of a pain in that sense. You would dial it in on the ground and eyeball it for what looked good. Then fly the plane push the button or flip a switch and try it, then land and tweak it some, and repeat.

Do you have the yellowish/biege colored vinyl clad transmitter that was produced in the seventies or the mostly black plastic FM transmitter that was produced in the mid eighties?

I have one also. To dissable all of the switches and knobs, take of the slide cover on the back and turn everything to zero. That should turn off all of the switches and knobs. There is a lot of programming that can be done on them, but since I fly mine in an old biplane I don't mess with any of the coupling features or expo stuff.
They do have a weak link in that the wires that go from the stick pot to circuit board are a little to short and they will break after a while. I have fixed mine but I still don't trust it all that much.
