Our good fortunes shined again yesterday. Hard rain all night Saturday and into Sunday morning but it all stopped in time for the pilots' meeting at 1000. 14 flyers came out and actually had a great contest. As one would expect in our current Matrix.... Mr. Anderson won it with his home-built Supra. Josh finished second with his RES AVA (his plane could have been called an RE-1/2S since he lost one of his spoiler servos during the 4th round). And... Daniel Johnson took home the 3rd place ribbon with his Radian. It was great to hang out with the guys, enjoy a hot lunch, and get in another fun contest. This Ales stuff is just too much fun.

Everyone is welcome

Im also pretty sure (if my memory is correct) that the TCMAA guys will accept a Park Flyer membership to fly in the ALES contests.

Hot reminder..... The last TCMAA Ales of the year is coming up this Saturday at 1000. Pray for good weather and let's see if we can get lucky one more time.
See ya at the field.

And get lucky we did. The weather was so bad this morning that I left my plane home and went to the field to visit. About 11 the rain stopped and the guys flew 6 rounds. Even had sun at times.

It did turn out to be a great day. We stayed until dark. Thanks for staying around and working the contest Mark!

Sorry us Port Townsend flyers didn't come down...we basically wimped out after seeing the weather forecast. You'll see us next spring for sure when contest season starts up again. And we hope to have a good venue for a contest up this way by summer. The potential sites are truly awesome up here.
