My upper section that the machine is built from 1.5 x 3 on the short side and 1.5 x 4.5 on the long side. It is bolted to a 2" x 2" box beam frame with cross braces...

That frame looks like 2" x 3" box, when you get it tell me what it is, pictures sometimes don't say it all if there is no scale to go by.

You want the works to be square at all times... if not there would be problems in both accuracy and function. Rugged construction meets that goal. It would be the mark of any good machine.

Yeah, it's hard to tell size.
It's about 6.5' x 6' overall with the gantry overhang.
I bought the Stinger II because it was not bolt together
and hopefully not too "Lightweight"

Will keep you guys posted

Your life experiences are sadly lacking. You really should get out more.

I also believe that RCworks didn't realize that I was kidding about making lots of money with producing cribbage boards.
It was a joke.
If someone really did invest that kind of money in a machine to make cribbage boards, then I think they have probably made a really, really, big, mistake.

The key to making money with CNC isn't the machine itself, but two other key components. One is your ability to master 3D design where you can do it quickly and efficiently, and the other is what's in your head and how inventive, original, and imaginative you are.
I make a line of products in my spare time on the company machine on weekends when it's (the machine) not working for the company. They sell well and are quite profitable. And no, I won't even hint at what those products are. Go find your own niche.
Ok, I'll give a hint; they use pegs and have lots of holes in them.

Again, just kidding.

It's here
Got it powered up but still need to finish hooking up the vac. system
Still have to order more bits and attach additional spoil board.
But at least I got it running, or maybe crawling..

Larry, you have probably already seen these, but if you're ready to get going and learn at the same time, many of us who have gotten V-Carve Pro or Aspire with the machines cut our teeth on the infamous "Bulls Head" tutorial. .

Now don't just stand there. Cut something!

By the way, even though I can use the company machine (a Cobra) when I want on my own time, I'd get your same exact Camaster Stinger (if I could ever afford it) and put it in my garage at home. That's quite a solid rig you have there, and I see that you got the spindle rather than the router. You are going to end up being VERY happy that you did that. It's way worth it.

You did good, and while many say that your first CNC machine is "only your first", I can't imagine you needing or even wanting to "upgrade" for a very, very long time. Maybe ever.
