Good U.S. sources for magnet wire?

I tried to order from alltronics.com at the recommendation of the StrongRC website...they dont seem to like to fill orders...

Anyone have any recommendations? Mind you super fragile insulation probably isnt the best pick for me, because I'm not super gentle with the wire (read: newb)

Go to your local friendly motor/transformer rewinder/refurbisher. Excellent quality, all gauges, penny stuff, you'll probably get it for free if you bring your motor along. They love it when they can handle a motor without the need for a crane And maybe let them have a spin with your plane once you finished your motor? You know, in case you need wire again for your next motor

Vriendelijke groeten Ron

Do what Ron, said, I did. Find a motor rewind/refurbish shop , bring one of your motors and they will have a floor covered with quality motor wire of all guages. The price was $6 per lb. but how much wire is that. The guy was so impressed with my motors he gave me 2 spools, and they were very interested in sharing how they build motors, what do you have to loose.

Over the years I have placed several orders with
Alltronics and never had a problem.
Unless they have changed hands or business philosophy
you should not have encountered problems.

I never purchased Wire but still, they were always prompt
in delivery and I got what I asked for.

BTW I have no financial interest in the place.

What problems did you encounter, if you wouldnt mind ?
