One day it will be cool to have the power to weight ratio and capcity to pull this off. I like the size of the model at 1/6 scale. Here's a fly by in traditional flight:

The money is just matter of priorities and income. Work well and spend less elsewhere (vacations, cars) and we all have tons of hobby money. I think it's awesome a man obsessed with model harrier flight.

Agree, just think what some spend on smoking/grog/gambling not even mentioning chicks.
Anyway, great project, love to see more progress/info on it, Joe.

This is Ewald Schuster. It is only EDF for flight training and flight tuning. He already has a turbofan built and operational for this airframe. He doesnt want to sacrifice the turbofan until flight testing has been proven.

The turbo-fan you speak of is designed and build by the same guy w/ the harrier in the OP. their is a video on youtube of the turbo-fan flying on a scratch-built model as well.

This is amazing!! Love that airframe, I'd be happy with one for "regular" flight...

Hey AL,
I know someone who's working another functioning harrier EDF.
Nothing has been said yet, as it's a long term dream project.
(no It's not me.)

Aw you can't do that to me!! VTOL has always been intriguing to be, specially the harrier system - have seen ICDF attempts in the (distant) past. Kudos to anyone who gets involved, never mind pulls it off.
