XPS Dynamax V1, V2 and V3?

Is there a V3 XPS Dynamax and if so what is the different from V1 and V2. I've had a V1 (gold motor-rear). I've seen what some have called V2 (black motor-rear). Is there a V3?

There was a Dynamax Xtreme (LS motor) which was V1. There was Dynamax Xtreme PRO and Dynamax Xtreme PRO 2. There was also a Dynamax Xtreme Lite that used the Hacker turbine motor. So, we really had 4 versions.

The difference between the PRO and PRO2 was the motor keying and wind a bit different.

Thanks Drew for the clarification. I haven't seen the Dynamax Lite. Are there any around and what was the performance compared to the other 3? Where did V3 stand in overall performance of the group? I have the V3 version running on 14S, Dinogy Lipos and Sunrise 180 HV ESC.

The lite version weighed a little over 1 pound less than the others. It was designed for 11S operation (12S with throttle management). It delivered around 14 pounds of thrust on 11S, up to 16 pounds with 12S.

I have a V3 setup running on 18S @ 16.4Kw.

WOW, 18S - it must be a screaming machine. What batteries and ESC are you using? My 14S setup is in a Yellow Aircraft Starfire II

@ Bruff: As I am to understand, you know a lot of EDF's. For my glider (Yes, 20' span, 22Kg) I need an EDF for self-launch. Surging the internet I found the <Schübeler DS-94-DIA HST with DSM6745-700> with a thrust range: 100-130N on 12-14S. That will do the job and is ok for me. Then the price: not so ok. Next is the XPS Dynamax Xtreme PRO 2/3 whereof I think comes close in performance (maybe better?). My problem: wherever I surge, I cannot find ANY webstore to buy one, not even the sellingprice is known to me. Can you help me out and mail me where to buy? Or, from your experience you maybe advice a different EDF 125-130mm. Unfortunately I have only room for max 12S/6000mAh. I live in The Nethlands, so an adress in Europe would be fine although not essential. Thanks, Constant Goderoy, godefroy@planet.nl

Reason you can't find any XPS fans for sale is because they have not been on the market for a few years. Out of production.

You should have a look at the Jetfan 120, it's made by Ejets in Austria so pretty close to home for you. Specifically a Jetec E-120 unit perhaps?
