would this be considered a pattern plane.

I was at a swap meet today and picked up a pattern plane kit.? new in box. the guy said it was about 15 or so years old.

it was made in Mexico.by aeromodels.and distributed by RC America models.
its arc 60'" wing span ARC model kit.

have you seen any of these.? are they good flyers. is it worth anything. just wondering if I should build it or keep it in kit form

Also if i was to build it i would like to find a rear exuast eng. 61. os use to make a nice on with a pump. i cant remeber the model.
if any one know please let me know. also any suggestions for a rear exaust 61
thanks

Looks neat, Cap.
I've never seen one before but it looks like it'll fly. It's an ARC I guess, huh? Are the wings sheeted?
You probably were thinking of the OS 61 RF P which is a rear exhaust engine with a pump.
I have one that I gave a lot of money for, but it's yours for 200 dollars shipped to your door.

Hi Cap

For RE 60/61 10cc it's Rossi, Nova Rossi, OPS and JETT.

These are all New production motors available today.

Cap, are there blocks already installed for landing gear?

Take a couple pictures of the wing so we can see what your working with.

Its not hard at all to add retracts to Foam wings.

Installing retracts in foam wing

Cap,

This is a very commonly used method to install retracts in a Foam wing.

You first need to make a couple of plates out of ply that fit your retracts and drill holes for dowels to be inserted into the foam.

Will you be using mechanicals?

Next you need to mark the location of the plates on the wings and cut the sheeting and remove foam so you can install the plates.

Will you be using separate aileron servos in the wings?

To cut the foam you will need some type of foam cutter or a Dremel.

I use this little hand held foam cutter to do some of the little work.

This little unit heats the wire up to 250 degrees, cuts like the bigger units.

I use this larger unit with adjustable sled to cut out any lager portions of foam (retract plates, servo wells, etc) for complete and repeatable results.

The sled is micro adjustable, makes for easy work.

Cap, what retracts have you been able to source?

Looking at the wing plan I think you will run into some geometry issues. The reason I say this is even though the gear is mounted in the wing the wheels need to be forward of the leading edge of the wing.

The current crop of retracts that are available today will not give you this type of install.

At the time that this Kit was produced there were retracts specifically designed to extend forward instead of 90 degrees to the mounting plates. I believe one company that made such retracts was Pilot for their EZ line of Kits.

I have seen these sets of retracts come up for sale at times.
