Mill, Stirling engine, etc.
A friend of a friend recently passed away and we have been spending a lot of time clearing the basement, there's a lot more than what's here and I'll probably be adding to this thread as I find more.
First up: Steam engine. SOLD
His daughter claims it runs, it spins fine (nothing seized) and looks beautiful and scale, not sure what to ask for this, fro what I see of stea engines they go for around 1000, but I don't expect that, make an offer.
Next up: Atlas press mill.
Looks nice, shaft spins freely. I haven't checked the table to see if it's true but it's only 1/2" aluminum and there was very heavy stuff hanging off the ends, which have since been removed, but I would assume the table isn't flat. It has been modded to set the motor back another step for more speed adjustment, no speed chart so that will have to be made or speeds played with. Z axis (up/ down) seems locked, I'm not sure if it's seized or if it just has a locking set screw tightened, I didn't look for one. This will include collets fro 1/8" to 1/2" in 1/16" steps, and any bits/ cutters I can find, and an incomplete drill bit set (very unorganized) if you want it. There's a drill chuck in it right now, and 3 or 4 small machine vises. Asking somewhere around 400$, open to offers.
Last for now: Gear motors
Neat little gear motors with changeable gear ratios, looks like it's 1:1, 1:2, 1:4 etc. all the way up to 1:64, there's two or three of these, the box says 45$ from an old hobby shop, they are not used, probably worth about 10-15$, it's a 380 can if memory serves.
Shipping: I can ship the motors no problem, steam engine might be a little problematic but I'll do my best if you want it shipped.
Mill is local pick up near Kanata, ON.
