My twin boom electric spad
Hi to everybody.
I'm italian and my english is bad...
I would like to show you my new spad plane.
It's made for FPV purpose.
I didn't want to build a plane whitout plan, so I decided to modify a tested spad plane.
I chose the "Buhor 25" becouse it's a trainer plane, big wing surface and simple desing.
I modified some things on it. For fpv pusher prop is better than puller so I mount motor behind fuselage.
This is not possible on original buhor fuselage so I have opted for twin boom fuselage.
Horizontal stab has same surface of original plan. Vertical stabs are twice but their surface is the same of single one in the plan.
Naturally is an electrical engine powered plane.
-Wing span 40"
-Wheight 4 lbs (without fpv gear on board)
-Motor NTM Prop Drive Series 35-36A 1400Kv / 550W
-ESC Align 75A without bec
-Lipo Rhino 3700mAh 3S 11.1v 25C
-Aileron servos HXT 900
-Tail servos Hitech HS81
-Front wheel servo HXT 900
It's a great flyer. Take off is easy with this powerful motor. Flight is smooth and predictable. Landing? No problem even with no engine!!!
I'm very happy with this plane. I have made several test flights and now it's time to try with fpv gears on board.

Man, that flies REALLY nice. Smooth lift off, nice flight, greased landing! Does it handle as easy as it looks? Looks like a GREAT flyer. Good job!

I love no engine flight and landins and this spad is my first one that can landing in this way (in a good way!!!) becouse it has a good efficiency.
Its generous weight make this plane very stable but is possible to lighten it...
Fuselage isn't nice to look but I built it quickly,
A very FPV gear weight can added without flight changes.

It's Buhor 25 plane from spad:
-No wing dihedral
-Same distance between wing and tail
-Same tails surface but horizontal stab have no sweep and tails are double
-Fuselage lenght is inverse poportion with lipo weight (for c. o. g. balance)
-Fuselage is made by 2.5mm coroplast. Section dimensions are not critical and deping of lipo dimension.
-All servos are on the wing (lower surface)
-Cut ailerons to fit propeller inside.
