? for those with the UMX Beast 3D and Pheonix sim

Dumb question here, how does the UMX Beast 3D compare flying wise to the full size beast on the Phoenix 4 sim? I'm considering getting the UMX Beast 3D and have gotten pretty good with the full sized one on the Phoenix sim.

Thanks

Greg

they are so not the same, but your experience with Phoenix sim will still help.

I'm assuming the UMX is a lot more difficult

not even close, I ended up editing the Pilotage rc Polikarpov (under scale) to be the closest I could find to the Beast.

I moved my "model setup" slider all the way to advanced to make everything more twitchy; moved my stall effect slider all the way to the most docile setting, changed the thrust to weight ratio to 2, changed the motor sound to "medium electric", and lastly changed the vertical thrust position to -.2 and the thrust down offset angle to 2 to remove the affinity to pull up when full throttle is applied.

This is close, but the real life Beast is more forgiving of stall speeds, doesn't have as much... inertia (janky slop when transitioning between maneuvers) and those little wheels seem to always catch on stuff when you land.

Any similarity between the sim and real-life planes is entirely incidental.
