Yes it was, good food there. I always get the BBQ salad, love that stuff. I parked right behind you when we got there. Funny thing, I feel like I have a real good relationship with your car. I see your FJ all over the place but rarely run into you.

Rob...

P.S. You sound really old when you say stuff like that, be leave me I know.

As I already said in the Colo FPV thread, I flew from the big pullout off of Highway 93,
three miles away. I do not launch or land on Boulder Open Space.

NCAR...All Mine

NCAR was on this afternoon, and I had it all to myself.

I threw out The Shadow and had some fun with it until the wind got...what's the opposite of gusty? Lully? So I "landed" and switched to the 30" Revert. It did okay in more wind than I have tried it with before. It's still really pitchy, even though I keep moving the battery forward. It's rolly too, but that's more fun. Not loopy. though. The flat single step KF doesn't seem to like high alphas. But for $2 worth of foam, 2 20 -year - old servos, a $6 rx and a $7 battery it does pretty good on a performance/price basis. (Everybody says it the other way around, but the math doesn't work that way.) I even got to practice some topside pattern landings. Usually at NCAR I'm so starved for lift I keep trying to fly until I have to put it in the bushes and hike down the slope. Liking that less every year.

So why can I get out on a weekday now? Let's call it the story of my life, chapter oh, 63. When oil is down, it's hard to sell Coriolis Mass Flow Meters, and the Powers That Be would rather jettison excess load than ride it out and have an experienced crew on the other side. They offered me an early retirement package in Feb., but too little, too early, though I had my finger on the button for a long time. So now the same deal but take it or leave it. Or, rather, take it and leave. Upside: More flying time. Downside: lower building budget.

Oh, yeah, and Ian+Rocks = Ian Rocks!

Guys I bought a Dynamic D-80 today so I've got to sell my Carbon Spider 2.5 to offset the purchase. I would rather keep it in state so if anyone is interested, please let me know as I'll be putting it on the groups this weekend for sale. It has a wonderfully done carbon socked fuse and Hitec HS-85's all around. It has had a few repairs but flys wonderfully. Ballast included. I'll send pics to interested parties.
Thanks, Chris
p.s.-oops, price is $650

Sounds like a great deal for a 100 inch carbon plane . If I hadn't bought a RTF D130 a few months
back that I've yet to even see in person (waiting for me in SoCal but crappy conditions at
Weldon this April), and just sprung for a 3m composite FPV plane on Kickstarter, I'd
snap that right up.

What color is it?
