Question
One question for Profili users...

Hi,
My computer recently crashed and so I had to re install everything.
I remember at one point I used Profili2 to draw some ribs and get them ready for laser cutting and remember seeing them drawed in red (that I been told that's what the laser needs). Never sent anything to get cut so I have zero experience.
I bought Profili back on the times of Windows XP (or therefore) but never used much.
So I'm not sure if now I installed the wrong version or what but before I pay for it again I'd like to be sure which version do I need to be able to get a set of ribs saved in a memory stick and out to a laser cutting service.
Thanks for any input on this,
Fernando

have look at devwing if you only wont to cut balsa or ply ribs and use your old profil for foam wings

It looks like that's what I need.
I sent an email to Stefano too and he recomended the Devwing Cam.
I'm a total noob so I've been trying to learn what CAM is and I'm not sure I need that since I'm not going to be cutting the parts.
Am I right????
If I take the files in .DXF form to any laser cut service would they be able to use them or the CAM component has to be the one in the designing software?
Thanks.

if you get the devwing cam you can setup all your files to suite what youand thay need and it will cost less.
if you give them a dxf file thay will charge you for the work that it takes to do the cam work so it is cheaper to do it your self and it is not that hard to learn dev cam does most of the haed work for you.

Hi dpot,
Thanks for your input
I bought Devwing cam and I did my first wing on it.
I'm very excited how easy it seemed to work with it.
Merci monsieur,
