Switchback C of G question.
The Switchback Sport manual says to check the CG by holding the plane on two fingers at the fuselage, and it should balance on the spar to approx. 1/4" behind the spar. However it seems easier to just pick up the plane by the wingtips, with one finger on each tip.
Is this a valid way to check the CG, I imagine it is, but does the 'spar to 1/4" ' rule still apply? If you check your SB this way, where does it balance?

As this is a straight wing ie not swept, then the CG will be in the same place at the tips, however I would suggest that you just turn the SB upside down, then it is easy to balance at the root of the wing.
