Extreme Flight 74" Laser

The "Boss" reports the gas version is on the water!

I have a DA-35 that needs a home and this most certainly looks like a nice one. I really want a electric version, but those are coming later.

Here is a video I shot at Nall of the prototype.

Here is another one done by the Dussia's

The question is the Red or the Yellow? I had the Red in the 48" and the Yellow in the 60". Both outstanding schemes.

Love my Y/B/W 60" but I might just have to go with the red on this one.

All Standard size. Chris Hinson said he smoked a few 7245s in the prototype elevators so it will be setup for 5 standard high torque servos and 1 for throttle if you are doing gas.

If you like Savox, I'm using the SC-1268SG in my 3DHS 74 Edge (347 oz-in) and will probably do the same here. I bought three backups when I built the EF 78 Extra and the 3DHS 74 Edge, and never needed them, so I may go with them on the rudder and elevator halves, and end up with the stronger Savox SV-1270TG on the ailerons since they are 487 oz-in and .11 secs and only cost $99. There was a sale a few weeks ago and you could have picked them up for $85.

this or the 74" Edge will be my next Plane
The Edge 74" if it is light enough to build it unter 11lbs, or the Laser if not.

I have the 60" Laser and it fits my flying style perfect.

Seeing how the fuse's are built like the 78 extra and 76/83 MXS I doubt under 11 pounds is achievable with any decent flight time and then only electric. Something like a A60-6XS on 6s, but the power will be underwhelming. I am pretty sure I am getting the gas version and I will weight the bare airframe. You can then guess what the electric airframe will be based on the deltas between the different versions of the 78 and 76.

My thoughts agree with you but I still have a hard time wrapping myself around what I saw the Laser do at BG with the DA-35 on it. (I think it was the 20x9 Falcon) Now that I have the 35 on the MXS seeing that power to weight ratio vs what I see on my MXS with the same prop but on an ES pipe. It just seems like it has to be lighter. Sub 11lbs is doubtful but 11-1/2 -11-3/4lbs AUW might make up the difference.

For me sub 11lbs if important (elektric) course i can fly it everywhere.

We have a lot of 78" Extras in Germany that have under 11 lbs with a 6s Setup.

But i think, laser and mxs need more power than extra to make fun.

So i think it is not a goot idea to bring these planes under 11 lbs.

So with laser i have to fly on a club field.

Edge is only 74" wingspan and length so i think it should be lighter.

Will see, whats up next year

At the moment i sell a few planes to save mony for a 74" - 78 " Extreme flight

Those are some nice videos, they really show off what the Laser is capable of.
