Notice much difference in 3D low and slow over your 4000s?

My 3S plane weighed in at 3# 15oz AUW . Kite doesn't even begin to describe it. The hardest part about flying this plane is getting it to land! With any forward speed at all, it just wants to keep floating.

Somehow, I don't think I'd enjoy the 57 as much set up that light. I'm running 6S 2700's, I think I could lose 6 ounces and be really happy though.

I didn't do any of that. The winds were gusting to 18 and all over the place. One second it was there, the next second it was 90* in the other direction. Hoping for better weather tomorrow and I will try it again.

I like it for slow, floaty stuff. VERY forgiving plane for practicing- flies like a foamie but looks better . I wish I could remember all the weights (had to search for an old post to even find this one), but I have 3 of these- the 3s 57, hacker A40 powered 4s 57 and an older Reaper gr45 powered 4s 55 shp. They are lightest to heaviest in that order. All three fly amazingly well, but they all have their strong points over another as well.

Look forward to hearing about it when the weather is better.

Hello folks. I'm looking for some of your thoughts on a potential build on this model of plane by 3dhs. I have an E-Flite Power 46 lying around in the boneyard here and was wondering you guys feel it would be a good fit for this plane? I'm kinda concerned about the COG due to the weight of the my motor as opposed to the suggested on the manufacturer's website. Any thoughts around this?

I need a project and a this plane looks terrific. I'm just trying to get by cheap.

Thanks in advance.

Thomas
