Also, using a higher C-rating often increases power & top speed. Higher-C packs with lower internal resistance will maintain their voltage under load much better than lower-C packs with higher internal resistance - which causes a greater voltage-drop under load.

Our new Losi racing team we founded in our company (7 Losis 1:24 Brushless 4WD) knows the same problems when we switch the battery types back and forth.
No straight solution, but switching on and off the car and the transmitter a couple of times seems to do the trick.

Here is a little sneak peak of my bling amplifying smd led system that slots directly on to the shock towers. However I ran into some problems: It was about 4am and I just finished up (I even had them covered in CF 3D textured vinyl) and I was doing some final testing when I hooked the wrong battery up to them, which ultimately lead to all 4 6030 leds blowing in a split second. But there's a moral in this story: Dont play with lipos when you're over tired

So Im working on version 2 which will sport 8 leds now to light up my bling aluminium parts when I get them.

The wheels are from a stock losi 1:24 truggy along with the wing

The display shows the voltage of the battery in real time, so I dont need to time my runs any more. Think of it as a digital fuel gauge. It weighs a meer 6g and only cost 2 bux from HK
