You would need a motor in it first!
Their other 90mm 8S Mercury alloy fan with its own proprietary Outrunner is a very good setup.

There is 2 bearing in the front and back side of blade.
The blade has good support.
The motor can be got good cooling in front of the EDF unit.

Pretty neat...pusher type fan I see. I have the Stumax 110 which is a pusher and I like that the motor wiring is toward the nose of the plane. Would like to see some numbers on the fan if anyone gives it a try. Like to try the HET 2100 on 6s on this setup.

EPF Hobby are you saying there are 4 bearings...two in front and two in back?

All the extraneous weight and the motor up front is going to make the aircraft difficult to CG.

Many fully ducted jets, that have the ducts (if there's 2 of them) converge just a head of the EDF. This will be difficult with the motor there.

I suppose a foamy with no ducts, and can be modded to move the fan aft, would work.

What purpose does the tail cone serve?

Good point raised Efflux.
The motor out front may not suit all ducting but for typical foam jets it would be better than their complete motor/fans as the mouth doesn't have that fluted shape.
I think the tail one is just a leftover from the complete unit which has been changed to allow user choice motors.
For the price, I would just get their complete motor/fans. The two I have are great. Nothing comes close in price or workmanship.

I don't think it will affect CG much, the heavy part is the motor, not the fan. Yea, u have to move the fan aft alittle to clear the intake, if u have split intakes (not every jets have that config, f16 etc), but don't forget the heavy motor is in front of the fan, not at the back.

I am flying the Stumax 110-52 in my Fox Hawk....no problem what so-ever with CG and the Stumax is a pusher with full ducting. I flew my first pusher fan with a Byron F-86(Byron Fan) and had no problem with the CG.......Personally I like the pusher.
