DDD did make diesel conversion heads for the Cox .09 but the engine wasn't strong enough to handle diesel loads. Overheating was common. Bob only made ten or twelve of these heads so they are quite rare.
I've shown mine on a Medallion .09 with a Tatone clamshell muffler to handle oily fuel residue. I would probably run it on a Cox .09 TD if I were to use it.

Davis made a lot of Cox .049 diesel conversion heads but I thought I'd show a gold one and a special RC head that was supposed to vary the compression to slow down or speed up the engine.

Wishful thinking that.
My DD 'head'..intended for Cox,.. Never worked, even passably, on several engines I tried it on..
Td's included . Even just broken in ones.
I had a few Real Diesels, so there was some experience behind my efforts.
Waste of Time, $ and Hopes in My experience.
