I'd recommend the 3000. It's the "right" kv for 8 NiMH cells or a 3S LiPo, which the wing is designed to balance with. The 2000 will, theoretically, require 50% more voltage to obtain the same rpm on the prop, which translates to 12 NiMH cells or 4S Lipo. And, to complicate things a little further, the 4S Lipo will need a separate BEC.

I have run a 3000 on my XE-2, and 3s and also a Mega 16/15/4. But I only run Just-go fly 450ths on my wings now. They only weigh 2 ozs and require less ballast so the wing is much liter. You can get 30 ozs of thrust with a 5.7 x 3 so you will have a better that 1 to 1 thrust to weight ratio.
