Friday at Eagle was OK in the morning and then died off in the afternoon. We ended up hunting the abundant thermals interspaced by some spectacular sink from my high start. Saturday it was speed runs at SDR. It doesn't get any better.

Holy crap, I can't believe Sam was back to SDR again! It's every 3rd weekend lately. Close to a whole week on the road each time. I'm insanely jealous. Totally missing the tri cities already.

Russ, sorry I missed you this year. Good to see you getting some some of that Eagle and SDR air.

I miss the Tri-Cities too, and the company. But not too much, given the slopes I have around here. And they're combat-wing free also and all year long to boot.
Good to see Keith being so utterly hooked again after he visited here... : )

They are back up at the DS spot this morning. It was the best DSing they had done in WA. The wind was a little shear to the hill yesterday. It was suppose to straighten out this morning.

Russell and Sam. What can I say??!! Sam travels about 16 hrs. each way to get to the Tri-Cities. What's that story about the chicken and the pig?? The chicken suggests that the two involve themselves in a scheme involving ham and eggs. The pig notes that for the chicken, only a contribution is required (i.e. an egg); while for the Pig a “total commitment” is required. Spending 32 hrs. on the road and big $ per trip in ferrys, gas and lodging is the closet thing to real commitment I've encountered in this hobby. So Sam and Russ thanks for making it down one last time before the heat really kicks in.
