Hawk Eye thrust vector Flying ball

Hi Everyone,

i was also eyeballing this VTOL flying ball.

looks like only 6 servo's used here..

maybe could be reduced to 4?

Great Video.

Actually the servos could be reduced to 3 in number.

Two servos for the pitch and roll motor mount/plate and one servo, driving 2 control vanes using the old fashion aileron linkage system can control the yaw axis.

The other two vanes could be set with "fixed off-set" (yaw input or more precisely called "stator vanes") to control motor torque while in a steady hover.

I told you it was coming

as soon as someone figures out the mix to blend the quadcopter to normal flight of the CrazyBall... they did... but did it with a delta. In reality it makes no difference what planform (round or triangle or square) it will all work..

enjoy the upcoming future of quadcopters... operating in a much more efficient flight environment (similar to the horizontal efficiency of an Osprey)

This will increase the range somewhat ...and will continue to increase in the future as that realm is improved. I foresee a near immediate marriage of the flyable sphere (CrazyBall planform ) and a delta planform... for a rounded tip deltoid shape...which will be even more versatile as well as manueverable
