choose "Mega 22-45-1,5E" Above link is for 18N6P motor with distributed winding, which maybe a little bit difficiult. |

Then it is this motor:
http://www.mt-modelisme.com/2552:mot...n-car-5000.htm Can you count the magnets inside of the magnet housing? And confirm that it is a 12 arm or 12 notch stator? Those will help to get you close in choosing a turn count for rewinding. The motor probably only had 5 or six turns of wire on, does that sound about right? Jack |

In this case, you will be using concentrated winding. here is an ideal example from Powercroco: http://www.scorpion.powercroco.de/12N4P3530.html this design is really rare ^^ |

If you translate the last post there it says:
"..The engine worked, but the results were not so convincing that it would have been worthwhile to pursue the matter further..." Maybe that is why they are so rare? I notice that if you go to the winding scheme calculator and enter 12 slots and 4 poles it offers a winding scheme of AbCaBcAbCaBc: http://www.powerditto.de/bewicklungsrechner.html That has a low winding factor of 0.5 but maybe it is the only way to get a 5000 Kv motor out of that stator that an ESC can keep up with as far as the permutation frequency? I am guessing here if that was not obvious.. Jack |
