TwinCopter (DualCopter)

This guy does some interesting things with his KK2 board. First time I have ever seen one of these. I'm surprised it flies so well.

Thank for the info Eirik,
looks like the dx motors have a 2mm shaft and the glb version is 3mm?

I'm interested because I bought a set of parts to build one of KK's UFO quads, but am thinking of skipping the depron for now as apparently it requires (very rare) calm conditions to fly in.

cheers, and thanks,
Andrew

How do you like her so far? I think I'll really enjoy it's different flying stlye.. like RC911's V-Tail.

I will be buying the Hunter Mini V-Tail frame because I need the back-pack transportability that size should provide.
It's nice that you have yours up and running nicely already, so I can ask for help if I get stuck with my build.
Jose is re-designing the Mini arms for larger motors, and a FCB cage for it... I hope it's ready soon... 'cuz the weather is getting mighty brisk up here in Canada already!
No problem just let me know. And it does fly different it going to take some getting use to and a lot of practice over some tall grass as I don't want to mess up this frame it is the pride of my fleet now

I've bought these motors from both DX and GLB. Both have 2mm shaft. And that's a pain because they bend easily...

If you are not quick enough, and the KK2 board gains power then loses power and gains power again... you get that error. Just unplug the battery, plug it back in quickly and firmly without holding any buttons. Once you get the KK2 board to boot up properly try the ESC calibration again.

Funny you mentioned this because the temperature dropped here in Raleigh, NC yesterday, it was in the low 60s (15celsius). I was flying the tricopter normally (forward flight, about ~5ft above the ground) and all of a sudden it pitched forward, the tail-end went up high then flipped into ground. I was dumbfounded when it happened...

So, temperature can affect flight control boards on the multirotors... Hmmm

WOW! You're a fast builder. Almost complete already?
I would like to see how it performs outside in an open field.

Nice! The DialFonzo VTail design actually inspired me to build my VC-VTail copter. I found a lot of useful information over at his thread.
