I am having a problem. I have crashed two planes the last two weeks.. I am using a JR 6102 and I have used different receivers. The first plane had a JR R600 receiver flying in a sport 4 1/2 pound low wing with a phasor 45/3 with a Phoenix 45 and 2 kokam 4s2p 2000 mah in series. 2 digital JR servos (elevator/rudder) and 2 standerd hitec HS 81 in the wing. The second plane was Decathalon with a AXI 4130/16 and a phoenix 60. The receiver was a Hitec 555 with the same servos as the first crash. Both BEC's were disabled and flying a seperate receiver battery. The second plane had 2 3s2p 4000 mah in series. We flew in the same place we always fly and the plane just quit receiving all signals and crashed in the same spot. Ground check was fine and we even conducted a ground check with the first plane after the crash and all seemed to be working well. We have flown in this field and have never had anything like this happen before. WHY TWICE and in the same spot? Is there a conflice between the digital and regular servos. I have two broken planes and no answers. Thanks for responding

The only thing that comes to mind is that this is a troublesome spot. Besides the range test, have you checked with someone holding a plane close to this spot while you stand at your regular pilot spot?

How bout taking a SS up to that spot with a Berg DSP. I've found spots
in certain places that will just blow away an RX.

3rd vote for the troublesome spot. There a few few well-known spots near where I fly that just seem to be a dead zone. It's not just me, I've had it confirmed over and over by many different people who fly there.

Despite three votes for "troublesome spot", I would remind you that your Tx is the other common factor in both these events. I know it range-checked okay, but it could be an intermittent fault. Best get it checked if you can.

I had 2 crashes and one very bad in-flight glitch before I realised the problem was my Tx. Second crash was the same Rx gear transferred out of the first crashed model, so that "confirmed" to me that something was wrong with the Rx; the third event was with completely different Rx gear, at which point I realised I should be looking at my Tx.

It`s a JR.... can`t be the TX

Is it worth new TX and RX crystals ? Have been known to drift. Clutching at straws I suppose but cheap.
