If you have a Tx that has a PPM output you can make a module, You will need a 7105 rf chip, a pro-mini or atmega8 atmega328 and a usbasp programmer or a usb to serial adaptor/ftdi.

Failing that you can get a spare tx from banggood for about $15.

yes, dj is on top of this.

whats really nice is the new version with bigger display, lots more buttons, and many other new features. i pick up one or two for case and parts whenever they are on sale. half dozen now. and literally dozens of the old version. even at full price the new one is quite a bargain at $16:

or, like dj says, if you are diy type midelics excellent scratch built tx for around $5:

Hi all,

I'm new to the multirotor world and I'm trying to build this design as my first attempt. It seems to me like some of the links to parts are no longer working so I've compiled a list of what seemed to be the closest match. Can I get some opinions/suggestions on whether or not these are the right parts to buy?

fc/rx (?) : http://www.banggood.com/Wholesale-Wa...2-p-49400.html

props: http://www.banggood.com/Wholesale-UD...t-p-48799.html

motors: http://www.banggood.com/Wholesale-2-...r-p-63727.html

lipo: http://www.banggood.com/Wholesale-WL...7-p-49464.html

tx: http://www.banggood.com/Wholesale-WL...--p-42822.html

All in all, parts and supplies look like they're gonna cost me $50+ when I was anticipating $10-$18. I realize that those predictions are probably assuming you have basic supplies and a tx already, but I don't.

Thanks for any help with this!

The FC/RX is not compatible with the TX you selected

You can get a RTF Quadcopter with HD camera for less then 40$ ... also you can get a RTF nano quadcopter for less then 18$ ... price with shipping included.

DIY is only if you like to DIY, but in this case will not cost you less

So ... if you are looking for a DIY .. I would suggest:

DIY your control board : you can DIY multiwii board from 5$ and/or DIY Naze32 from 10$
DIY your Radio RX ... you can DIY openLRS NG, or FlySKy, or FrSky, etc
DIY your radio and TX module (but the 18$ FlySky compatible radio can be a starting point ... still maybe here is better to spend some money in a proper Radio since it will last for many project and many RC birds)
DIY your quadcopter frame using wood

But ... go brushless

So buy 4 cheap brushless motor and 4 ESC (bangood has cheap BLheli ESC 10A, and DYS1806 are cheap as well)
And as well buy a 3S Lipo
