![]() ![]() One thousand US Dollars !!!! That sounds more like a killing rate than a going rate. ![]() If only it would launch 1 feet for every $ spent ... ![]() Yves Chris, FYI: I gave up smoking a long time ago. The only exception now is in the evenings, when I take my socks off in front of the TV. And I never went beyond smoking regular cancer inducing tobacco anyway, never mind being part of the psychedelic generation. I've always stayed on the ground, Rock Solid. |

Bob is doing well with his new Twister
Bob ( Cliffs little Brother ) is really flying well, taking 6th place in the York contest which was well attended. Cliff flying his new Twister is also becoming a threat in the Sportsman class and would probably have taken a trophy at York had he elected to fly the last round. Cliff was only one place behind the fattish old slob, far right, in the photo. Bob, far left in the photo is now a threat in the Expert class. Conditions were Extreme at this contest.

Hello Kai,
I’m flying the Twister 2 for a couple of months now. My impression so far compared to the Twister 1: - Launch hight is about the same/slightly better than the Twister 1. - With the same wing loading the pace is higher than the Twister 1 and the sinking speed is the same (so the glide angle must be better). - Circling performance is improved (more friendly). This is the result of the wider wingtips and the increased dihidral. Further the Twister 2 feels very similar to the Twister 1. Regards, Bas Breijer |

The conditions were indeed extreme at this contest but it is a lot of fun to be able to fly with some of the best pilots in the world and I am learning so much. My new Twister is leading the way for me and showing me how to stretch my legs and go long with confidence for the thermals that are a long way away. If I would not of landed out in the 1,2,3,4 task on my 4 min flight and not made that tactical error on the last round (I thought there were only 2 throw out rounds not 3) I would of been gunning for your trophy. If, If, If is the story of my life ;-) Looking forward to flying in "The Bruce" which will be here soon. |

I guess that's just part of being the distributor, but to let some total stranger launch your Primary Contest DLG (Twister), WoW. Well if things go badly, I suppose your fellow club members could put something together for you to fly at "The Bruce". Or is Bob putting a Twister II together for you ?? Don't know if Buddy and I will make SEFF this year, but if not, we'll be thinking of you guys slaving away in the Sun and Wind down there in South Georgia. Walt and the gang at NASA |
