I was telling John about your D80 at Weldon and how you were so lucky, "about it landing on a bush".
I think it's so important to have it figured out what to do if a plane is lost in the air.
Get all the guys on the hill to look for it.
If it's going vertical let it go for a bit, then pull loops to keep it at about the same altitude for a while, (use that DS speed to you advantage)
Look down wind after it's been missing for a while, (thats where Johns was)
If it's missing for a while make sure and pull the crow to slow it down, (that's what allowed Tims Heavy D80 to land on a bush with no damage), I think Tim had some luck too.
