Or was it that the guide pin interfered with the fuselage?

Hi Bert,

It did felt wrong from the start when I start her the first time but I had inspected her the first time BUT without the front top piece so I can tell I'm lucky that I was able to fly her in the first place although she was a handful

But I'm glad I found the problem and now she handles better than expected.

I just posted here for everybody to see and learn that mistakes are easily made.

Now some time and good weather to really fly her and hopefully to take a video from this flight.

Regards,

Jan,

Very well done Jan, congratz!!!
How does the tail rotor respond? what speed are you running the head and the tail?
Curious to see a video, and see it live one day :-)

cheers,

Didier

Hi Didier,

The head runs about 1100 rpm with half symmetric 620mm CCW blades.
The tail is responding great with a lot of authority I guess it runs 6000 rpm with 120mm scale blades. Yes they are big for a tail but they are running great.

I can notice that the tail is responding a bit weird then you normally expect, caused because of the angle but it is not a problem at all.
However you will notice it.
Most unusual is that the CG is located a bit backwards (nearly neutral) instead of a little more forwards. So the tail is lifting by the angled tail rotor.
Have to say that she did not flown in free airspace so I was not able to test flown her and see how she responds in fast forward turns and fast forward.
But in the concealed area (my backyard) she responds quiett well.

But it's a beast in the air and heafy.
