I have heard that it will strip gears on large helicopters.

I find spool up much nicer on the Castke 4.01 vs my Hobbywings. I'd say that is just a baseless rumor.

Running it on my Goblin with well over 50 flights.

Over 50 flights on my 700e with no problems. All that's missing is a true soft start but even that is not really a problem as has been stated above.

BTW, I get the same throttle endpoints as you guys. Been running fine.

I've spooled up from stopped blades into bailout on my 700e. No stripped gears. No way even the most jerky startup would strip gears. My goblin doesn't even spin on spool up where with my HobbyWing I can get a 180 on a smooth surface.

I'd like the higher resolution and softer spool up, this been noted as a feature of this firmware on helifreak by CC

When using the HW sensor do you enter half pole count like Hyperion ones? I think I'm going to give it a go on my 7HV and 160.

Did ever get an estimate from engineering on when the CC Sensor and accompanying firmware would be ready?

Considering we are half way through the year, it would appear Castle does not consider this feature a priority. :-(

I'm convinced of that one, this is kind of the last straw for me.

Looks like Castle want to be Jack of many features but master of none.. and are happy not to compete in the high end of the heli market... that being said, last years recalls has but Castle back at least 12 months..

Still don't know why you guys have your panties in a bunch. 4.01 works great and spool up is totally fine for me. Gain is 37 and it kicks a**. So just upgrade now and be happy.
