Hi all this is a good news, any info on the availability, price ...

well .. i have learnt to live with the drift using some trims
making it go back to 2G helped greatly with the drift as well

Any status update on the gps addon board? Will there be height hold and carefree flight?

This module is digital sensor extend module, it can replace original analog sensor to modify attitude drift problem and improve fly performance. We will release 2 type of module soon...one is module embedded (TMF will modify it before sale), the other is module add-on (just plug in the ch7 & ch8 then upgrade a firmware)

BTW
GPS and altitude hold module will be release in Q3 (news from tmf)

so if it needs ch7 and ch8 for connection.. do we need y cables for the currently connected camera pitch/roll???

no need any cables~~ because camera pitch/roll is ch9 ch10

only add-on version disable octocopter flight mode......
embedded version still support quad,hexa,octo.......

Is the GPS and Altitude Hold all one unit? I would like to see a separate baro sensor add on or built into the board. That way you get auto stability without any possibility of magnetic fields interfering with internal compass, GPS drop out, etc. The internal compass continues to function even without GPS lock.

Add just Altitude Hold and you have fully self contained, auto stable flight in pretty much any environment...

i have already saw the module board in TMF......
it uses MPU6050...module size almost the same with STM32
this picture is embedded version
only 4 pin SDA SCL GND VCC
no need any wire but need remove accelerometer
(i think this is a reason why they have add-on version)

i think you will be soon to get it
