2M Glider woodie built up flaps

I am getting ready to build a 2M woodie and I will have a built up flaps. The wing platform is based on the Aegea wing platform.
What I am thinking here to increase the torsional resistance is to lay the skins at 45 bias. Is this thinking correct?

Will it have ailerons too.. that would be the only reason to build flaps. Otherwise if rudder and elevator i'd go with spoilers. I woulid jus build them out and forgo the skinning and add small gussets.. much less weight

Thanks
I don't think woodie rules allow carbon in the flaps because I would use a .5mm rod on the trailing edge.

The 45 degree bias between the top and bottom skins FOR JUST THE CONTROL SURFACES seems like a not bad idea. The only issue will come from the wood being difficult to form to any curve that is part of the airfoil along that last portion of the ribs for the control surfaces. If there is much at all you may well end up producing the very twist/warp that you're attempting to avoid. To check this out it may well be worth cutting out a few ribs similar to the flap and build up a foot long section of flap. Or simply cut out some extra flap ribs and be prepared to toss the first control surface built in this manner in favour of regular span wise sheeting if the bias angle sheeting doesn't prove out in practice.

Maybe I should just make a test flap and change on the fly if it is not working.
