The mains in my ESM are approx. 7" from end of strut to axle center. The nose 7-1/2". That's with Robart gear though.

I have not read much of anything good about retracts offered by HK. I find that Turnigy motors and Zippy lipos are real good, but not much else.

My Sierra Giant Scale gear mains are 7.062" from retract pivot to axle. The nose gear is 9 11/16" from retract pivot to axle.

Nose Sierra is about 2 inch longer than nose robart. Is that due to scale angle?

I didn't measure mine from the pivot point. I measured it from the top of the strut which slips over the stub on the Robart. If that distance was added in would be close to the same as the Sierra unit.

Actually I have them on the ailerons too. The 645's are only on the rudder and steering positions. Got a 225 on the retract servo.
Main reason I used the digitals on the flaps was that was easy to reverse one with a programmer. If not for needing a reverse servo due to the way ESM laid them out I would have used 645's on them too.

Does anyone have a set of retracts that they are willing to sell? I just got off the phone with Troy Built Models and they said that they won't be selling anymore E.S.M. retracts { so much for version 3 }

You can get the Sierra Precision ones. Kinda pricey, but very strong.
