Pirates' Productions Proudly Presents: the MegaPirate UAV and more...
Hi Pirates of the Air!
I'm happy to announce the final steps taken by ArduPirates to build and offer own hardware.
We present frames, UAV accessory and electronix for decent prices.
And finally it's there: The MegaPirate based on ATMega1280/2560 like the Flyduino and FFIMU

Pirate Menno aka joebarteam offers a great tutorial on PID tuning
Step-by-step instructions with videos!
Not only applicable for MegaPirates but for every multirotor aircraft needing tuning of the PIDs.
My new MultiMega Copter based on a Paul's Flyduino Mega and Jussi's 9DOF IMU+ baro.
Frame: Kaotic Presence. Code: Alexinparis' MultiWii 1.6
You can build a quad like that for ~ 350$. It includes a flight controller with ATMega 1280 and a sensor board with 3axis gyros, accelerometers, magnetometer and barometer.
Add GPS (25$), Ultrasonic Rangefinder (8$), landing gears and camera mount (soon to come) and with some DIY you'll get away with around 500$.
There is still some code missing - but coders are hardworking people. So let's wrap them in soft cussions.
Enjoy the show!
FRAMES (tri, quad, hexa, octo)
Kaotic Presence Quad frames
Prices range from 65$ for a standard frame with aluminium arms up to 140$ for a complete frame with electronix container and carbon fiber arms.
See more informations on Alex' Blog.
Norf's Hexa Frames
Another great frame built for AP/AV/FPV.
Prices range from 69$ for a basic package including landing gears, Go Pro camera mount and variable stacks for the brains. You can also order pre-drilled armes for different motors and sizes.
See more informations on Norf's Blog.

Unfortunately this Black Pearl not for sale...
Jakub is a nice guy from Krakow in Poland. He sells his standard quad frame for 59€ plus decent shipping fees worldwide.
His brand new store offers a large amout of different frames (from Tris to Hexa) now: http://www.quadframe.com
He's also very active in the RCG forums and you can read a thread about his new creations here:

After 1 guy started a rage about this offer, the original thread was moved to a more appropriate place in the classifieds section and now fulfills the rule of RCG 100%:
Really like the Flyduino. Been wanting a miniMega for a while. If it's arduino IDE compatible I'm there. Can he add a row or two of pinouts so you don't loose any? Also like how it doesn't have a usb thing on it.
A mini usb might be ok but I prefer to use my FTDI basic breakout or other off board device to keep the weight down.
Norf will start with the production of complete frames in around 2 weeks.
Hexa frames shipping costs
I've sorted out the shipping costs for the Hexa frame parts (69$/50€), containing these items:
