Very nice review pete, I'm actually recommending this entire setup to a friend of mine that wants to get into RC and FPV specifically. You just can't beat the price of that thing. I have Dominators, Headplays, a cheap set of goggles I bought from ebay, and an LCD. If I could have started with this kit I think I would have found FPV WAY more enjoyable in the beginning.

Use Permabond 105 - difficult rubbers adhesive to fix the eyecup issue. Better than epoxy.

Great review. I love the animations

no one got the predators and the foxtech ones? i wonder how they compare each other in terms of image quality. I like the more compact design and all "buil it" design of the foxtech ones, but i wonder if the FS are better in video qulity

well, the foxtechs are $450, and the predators are $270, so not exactly an apples to apples comparison as the preds are nearly half as much. A fully loaded set of dominators would prolly be a better match.

the screen size difference between the preds and bases is about 180%. The differnce between the preds and doms is about 115%, so they'll be closer to the doms than the bases.

hey Fatshark, if you are reading....

*hint hint*

Have you tested the head tracker?, that's the only reason i'm holding off from buying a set.

Nice review btw.

Nice review btw.

Give me a few days Kev, I'm setting up a pan tilt just for the head tracker. That said, it's fatshark so I'm not anticipating any problems.

Once I've got it going, I'll post a flight vid/mini review. Thanks!

why predators with HT and receiver got a price of 270$
and dominators, without any rx, and ht, got a price of 299$ ?

I don't have the dominators to compare myself, but from what i understand the Kopin LCD's in the doms have closer pixel spacing, so you can get a bigger FOV with less pixel appearance.

If picture quality is your #1 concern, the dominators should have the best of the bunch, not saying either the bases or the preds have a bad image.

hope that helps
