what connector is on each side of this ESC? Also, in the future how can i tell?

There wont be any connectors on either end of that ESC. Most do not come with any attached.

Unless it says it, it won't come with connectors.

Do your battteries have a connector on them? That would normally be a female connector so as to not have any metal exposed to shorts and the ESC would get the matching male connector.

For the motor connectors for a 50A ESC I would use 3.5mm bullet connectors, female on the ESC and male on the leads on the motor.
