To be completely accurate Vic, they are flying well on 6s and 8s at less than 3kw. A stab assy made from 3/16" balsa could probably do that with success.

Hey guys. I'm curious as to how your canopies are set up. The magnets don't seem to hold it on tight enough. Am I being paranoid??

Nope, not paranoid! Definitely add some sort of extra retention mechanism.

The cheap, lazy way is to just simply use tape. I'm guilty of that from time to time!
Otherwise, use a canopy latch. I had a spare lying around and installed that on the rear of mine, and glued a ply tongue as positive retention on the front side.

JHH is in Cali, so getting one here would be super-quick.

The front gets a small wood "J" hook and the back gets a Hatch Latch. In my pictures below, I removed the clear plastic canopy and I added a small piece of wood to the back of the actual canopy to be able to hold the canopy with the latch. Let me know if you need a picture of the front hook.

I used the Hooby King latch, but there are many makes and brands.

Just completed flight 13 and 14 today. This thing is screaming. My friend with the GPS could not make it to the field today, so no GPS data, sorry. I'll get some soon I hope. The vertical climb on this thing is unlike anything I have seen or flown before. 10S seem to be a great all over set up. I'm easlily getting 6 minutes of flight time and the batteries come out around 3.81 volts per cell. I love the vertical, I believe it actually accelerates initial on the climb. Unlimited vertical here!! Alot of full throttle passes, this thing knife edges very nicely , really no effort at all. The Habu 32 is very difficult to hold on knife-edge in comparision. So far no issues with Stab or elevator............
