Making the landing so rigid (welding) will make the frame break in the next weak link of the chain next time.
And maybe the damage will be even worse than a landing skid.
Actually they must act as a fuse, discharging the crash energy into something flexible

so what else do you suggest? what about adding some sponge at the end of those aluminium boom to absorb impact?

Rather in the middle of boom or at 1/3 from motors, as you sketched the Alu skid.
Suspending the whole frame on the arm ends, under the motor, will move all the stress in the middle, on the screws between arms and central plate.

How about legs for landing gear? The legs and body are all balsa with a layer of carbon fiber to strengthen it.

So I'll move it closer to motors then ,thank you ..and I saw 22 but I literary have no time to search and acquire those parts so I guess I have to make do with this
