Nearly finished

hi there
Well here it is (NEARLY)
Covered and glassed with Deluxe EZE KOTE. And painted.
I still have to fit the receiver. If you look at the photo of the position of the controller should I fit it in front or behind the battery? I have fitted a Mega motor for 4 S and was going to fit 3850Mah Batts but the canopy wont go on.Has anyone ever cut the bottom out of the canopy or will these be just too heavy?
Also does tipping the plane back on its tail to test the COG work like on the E Flite
Habu?

Cheers
steve

Ive had a esc in 4-5 spots. Like behind the fan the best so far. Yes trim the bottom of the canopy. If you trim to far forward, you will lose your pilot. Lee

I finally flew mine yesterday with the Wemo Evo/ 2W27, 6s 3300mAh ,Yep100Amp esc.
Drawing 57Amps@1265watts getting 3 1/2 minutes flights with mixed throttle
I didn't have to add any weight to the tail to balance it at102 mm CG
Easy to hand launch not as fast as my Meteor but still a nice foamy jet
Cheers

ESC relocation

How is the ESC held in once it is relocated? What are people using to keep it in place? Silicon?

Also... Clear "RTV Silicone adhesive". GE, Permatex or Dow Corning brands. (comes in black as well) Clear is better, as it pretty much disappears visually.

Hardware or auto parts stores

I often (usually) mount ESCs using Veclro.
